System requirements: High pressure CNG filtration (1 micron rating) must prevent particulate matter in the gas stream from damaging the regulator and downstream components. The filter must be installed upstream of the pressure regulator. Clean and burr-free connections and pipelines must be used to prevent particles from damaging the regulator.

Connection:

The HPNGV series regulator is connected to the fuel system through the intake and exhaust ports. These ports are connected with SAE J1926 O-rings, where the air inlet is connected by 3/8” pipe fittings (9/16-18 thread), and the exhaust port is connected by 1/2” pipe fittings (3/4-16 thread). These connections are marked with "intake" and "exhaust". The size of the intake and exhaust lines must be appropriate to accommodate sufficient gas flow, and the hole diameter of the exhaust connection must be at least 3/8” to facilitate the flow of air.

Provide a coolant circulation bowl so that the engine heat can heat up the regulator and prevent frost inside the regulator valve. The standard coolant circulation bowl is equipped with a thermostat. The two coolant bowls mark the coolant inlet and outlet near the connection. The standard coolant line connection is suitable for 3/8” reinforced rubber hose which is firmly fastened to the pipe clamp.

The SAE-3 sensor port is optional to install a high-pressure sensor directly in the regulator for measuring intake pressure. Optional pressure deviation control device (take manifold pressure as reference). Provide pressure relief device (PRD). The standard (light-duty) configuration discharges the gas directly into the vessel, while providing trapping tubes for confined spaces or heavy-duty applications.
